Our Commitment
Accessibility is a first-class engineering requirement at NISTA. We design, build, and test with assistive technologies in mind, and we treat accessibility defects as functional defects.
WCAG Commitment
We target conformance with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA across our public web properties and enterprise product interfaces.
ADA Commitment
We align our practices with Title III of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) as applied to digital services, and with Section 508 requirements for federal engagements.
Keyboard Navigation
Interactive elements are reachable and operable via keyboard alone, with visible focus indicators and logical tab order.
Color Contrast
Text and essential UI elements meet or exceed WCAG AA contrast requirements. Color is never the sole means of conveying information.
Screen Reader Compatibility
We author semantic HTML, use ARIA only where appropriate, and validate flows against modern screen readers including NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver.
Continuous Improvements
We run automated accessibility checks in CI, perform periodic manual audits, and track remediation against a defined SLA.
Feedback
If you encounter an accessibility barrier, please contact us at accessibility@nistatech.com. We aim to respond within two business days and to remediate confirmed issues promptly.
